Start with the vehicle, not the biggest amp number

Check the vehicle manual’s jump-start procedure, battery voltage and designated connection points. The GB40 is specified for 12 V lead-acid vehicle batteries; its internal lithium battery does not make it a universal lithium-battery jump starter. The advertised peak-current number is not a continuous charger output.

An emergency pack needs an ownership routine

Before buying, decide where you will keep the pack and when you will check its charge. A forgotten device is less useful when you need it. Make sure the intended user can find and understand the instructions without relying on mobile reception at the roadside. Follow NOCO’s temperature and storage requirements rather than assuming a glovebox is always suitable.

Do not confuse a successful start with a repair

Starting assistance addresses an immediate problem; it does not explain why the vehicle failed to start. Repeated trouble calls for diagnosis. If the goal is to maintain a healthy battery during storage and mains power is available, investigate a compatible maintainer instead. Never attempt to jump-start a frozen, leaking or damaged battery.

Check the supplied revision

Confirm the charging connector and included cable on the exact listing and package. Manufacturer pages can describe a revised bundle while retailer stock varies. We do not promise a number of starts, cold-weather starting performance or charging time from the headline rating.
